A level playing field for the IAM
Andreas Assmann supports software department of German workshop equipment association ASA
The German Association of Manufacturers and Importers of Automotive Service Equipment (ASA) represents the interests of workshop equipment suppliers. ASA’s Software and Services Division is now headed by Harald Pfau and Andreas Assmann, our Director Data Quality Management as his deputy.
Until the end of 2020, Harald Pfau was managing director of WERBAS AG, one of the leading providers of software for workshops, service companies and car dealers in Germany and a long-standing partner of TecAlliance.
In addition to the topics of digitisation and networking, the Software and Services Division will increasingly deal with standardisation topics. Pfau and Assmann emphasised that the manufacturers of dealer management systems, data providers and workshop equipment suppliers will face great challenges when it comes to data access to modern vehicles. Just like TecAlliance and its subsidiary CARUSO, ASA is therefore campaigning for secure access to the networked vehicle for the independent aftermarket (IAM).
