TecAlliance streamlines service book entries
TecAlliance has announced the latest updates to its TecRMI Service Book platform.
The solution offers a simple and standardised process for recording digital service book entries for various vehicle manufacturers, with new features and expanded reach into additional countries.
The TecRMI Service Book online tool enables workshops to quickly and easily digitally document maintenance work that they have carried out. An interface to DMS systems enables TecRMI data users to transfer quotes to the TecRMI Service Book with just a click and complete the process in under a minute. The service book entries are supported in a uniform standard process for currently 14 vehicle manufacturers.
A check against TecRMI data ensures that the maintenance tasks are carried out and documented in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. With the latest update, workshops can access service bulletins and active recalls for a specific VIN, which in many cases is required by the manufacturer. In Italy, the Netherlands, Norway and Portugal vehicles can now also be identified via the number plate.
The solution is available in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and Switzerland. The roll-out in other countries is currently being prepared.
