JackCat partners with TecAlliance to expand growth opportunities

JackCat, the leading auto parts dealer in South Africa, has partnered with TecAlliance, the leading expert for data management and processes in the global automotive aftermarket.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone for JackCat, as it joins the prestigious TecAlliance Partner Programme (TAPP) to further enhance its offerings and drive growth opportunities. At Automechanika Johannesburg, 5 -7 September 2023, TecAlliance will be showcasing its latest innovations and its new partner programme at booth 6B8.

With over 30 years of dedicated service to the industry, JackCat has evolved into the go-to source for auto parts in South Africa. Through its meticulous compilation of a concise electronic catalogue comprising replacement parts from major parts manufacturers, JackCat has revolutionised the way customers find the right parts for their vehicles. Utilising an easy-to-use online vehicle search engine, customers can now locate their desired parts within seconds, eliminating the tedious manual search process.

When asked about JackCat's journey and evolution, Simon Devis, founder and CEO at JACKCAT highlighted, "We found it increasingly challenging to stay up-to-date with all the new vehicles entering the market, as well as having to update the part information for each brand. We had discussions with TecAlliance to explore how we could work together, which ultimately led to our partnership."

By joining forces with TecAlliance, JackCat aims to benefit its customers by ensuring updated car parc data and greater precision in the displayed part information. Through this partnership, JackCat will support the onboarding of brand information in the TecDoc format, allowing brands to manage their own data linked to the car parc. Furthermore, JACKCAT will extend its services by managing the brand's data, providing a comprehensive solution for all parties involved.

"Our decision to partner with TecAlliance was driven by the desire to efficiently save time and reduce costs associated with sourcing South African vehicle carparc data. Now, we can focus on bringing more brands to both JACKCAT and TecDoc. We will support this effort through the TecDoc Data Supplier Expert Role. With the TecDoc data integrator role, we can provide customised catalogue and digital solutions for the automotive aftermarket," stated Devis, emphasising the company's vision for the partnership.

By joining the TecAlliance Partner Programme, JackCat aligns itself with a globally recognised platform. Since its founding almost 30 years ago, TecAlliance has been committed to improving data quality and establishing uniform industry standards. Currently, the TecDoc Catalogue database contains 9.8 million part numbers from more than 1,000 supplier brands and over 450 million product/vehicle linkages.
