Herth+Buss gains TecCom certification
Herth+Buss has successfully completed the TecCom Excellence Program with an impressive 4.5 out of 5 stars. This great rating underlines the high quality of messages exchanged in the ordering process and the continuous improvement of process conformity. The certification ensures that Herth+Buss provides its customers with reliable and efficient communication.
As a specialist in vehicle electrics and spare parts for Asian vehicle brands, the company offers an extensive product range under the Elparts and Jakoparts brands. The range comprises over 25,000 parts, including 9,200 products in the field of vehicle electrics and 18,500 spare parts for Japanese and Korean car brands. Founded in 1925, the family-run company has achieved international success and has been a shareholder of TecAlliance since 2000. The partnership has continued to develop, particularly through the use of modern digital solutions, which have significantly increased both the efficiency and competitiveness of the company.
Streamlined order processing with TecCom
To ensure efficient order processing, Herth+Buss has been using TecCom Order for years. Customer inquiries and orders are processed via the TecCom Portal and integrated into the SAP system. In addition, order confirmations, delivery advice and invoices are sent automatically. Automation therefore plays a major role, as does the continuous further development of the ERP system. Digitalization and automation have significantly accelerated order processing while reducing costs. This has not only increased efficiency but also minimized errors and boosted customer satisfaction.
TecCom Excellence Program: High standards and sustained improvement
Herth+Buss has decided to join the TecCom Excellence Program to take ordering processes to the next level. This program not only offers a detailed analysis of process quality but also helps to identify potential for improvement. Herth+Buss successfully completed the TecCom Excellence Program with 4.5 out of 5 stars, a result that can be viewed in the TecCom Portal.
“Potential customers can now see at a glance what message quality they can expect from us,” explains Robin Fehn, Sales and Distribution Inhouse Consultant at Herth+Buss. He continues: “The close cooperation with TecAlliance during the validation and certification phase enabled us to work specifically on our weak points and continuously improve message quality. The TecCom team actively supported us with valuable tips on customizing and mapping adjustments, which led to the optimization of message quality. This continuous exchange and the fast response time helped to clarify all questions quickly and to implement the solution efficiently. With the TecCom Excellence Program, we ensure that our partners can rely on the best possible data quality according to the highest market standards. Herth+Buss is thus taking a further step towards increased customer satisfaction."
Digital process advancements in the returns workflow at Herth+Buss
As part of the ongoing development of digital processes, TecCom Returns has been introduced for returns processing at Herth+Buss since January 1, 2025. The system has been integrated with their SAP system, further expanding the range of integrated messages. The rollout started in Germany, with plans for broader implementation in the future. Customers will be able to create their returns claims in just a few steps in the TecCom Portal and view the current status at any time.
Enhancing speed and reducing errors through TecCom e-Invoicing
Another key topic for Herth+Buss is the introduction of e-Invoicing. The challenges of manual invoice processing, which were time-consuming and error-prone, were significantly reduced by implementing TecCom e-Invoicing. This solution has not only increased efficiency and saved costs, but has also made a positive contribution to the company’s environmental footprint. Herth+Buss, in collaboration with the TecCom e-Invoicing team, successfully carried out a GAP analysis on the upcoming e-Invoicing reform in order to optimally meet the legal requirements for 2025 and the following years. Operational benefits such as improved tax compliance and further efficiency gains were also achieved.
“The collaboration with TecAlliance is always very professional and harmonious. We are convinced that we will successfully master the next challenges together,” concludes Fehn.
